Archive Project
Your contribution to the Archive Project enables the Yellowstone Historic Center to care for its historic artifacts and materials using the highest institutional standards. One of the biggest goals moving forward is to bring the YHC’s preservation and interpretation efforts to modern standards. Digitization of our archives will ensure long-term preservation of the materials and make the materials available to new audiences across the country and around the world. There are countless photos, documents, audio recordings, and more in YHC’s care that are seldom seen or heard. With your help, we can change that.
In 2019 and 2020, the Yellowstone Historic Center digitized nearly 2,000 photos from the YHC Collections and Archives. Most of these photos are now accessible to the public on Montana Memory Project. The rest of the photos will be available on Montana Memory Project in 2021. The digitization of these photos was funded through donors and grants. Project such as this would not be possible without the generosity of donors and supporters like you.
We are asking you to please consider making a donation to help support digitization efforts. Any amount helps. To make a donation through PayPal, click the donate button below and select “Archive Care Program” from the drop-down menu.
